I'm an Automation Engineer, ten years in, and most of that time has gone into making web apps a little less likely to fall over 🚀. Away from the screen I travel whenever I can, and I take a lot of photos while I'm out there.
A few years back I joined the team at Chili Piper, where we help companies turn interest into real conversations. Most of my time now goes to Distro, where we're making lead routing a lot less painful for the teams who live in it.
Lately I've been really into AI. I spend a lot of my evenings in Claude Code, and I've been building MCP servers just to see what they can do. Right now I'm trying to automate as much of my own day as I can, so the parts worth my attention are the ones I actually get to keep.

A Cypress plugin that draws a box around the exact element that broke in a screenshot, on demand or on every failed test.
A QA platform that writes tests from plain English, fixes them when selectors change, and uses an LLM to check whether the output looks right.
📚 Articles
A failed test hands you a full-page screenshot and an assertion error, and leaves you to find the element yourself. So I built a Cypress plugin that boxes it and labels it, and learned a lot about coordinate spaces on the way.
A fortnight away with the same seven friends, and the same argument about money. So I built a bill splitter, and the thing that fixed it was routing every bill through one payer.
Seven products in one Cypress repo, running the full suite on every pull request. I built a selection engine that reads the diff and runs only what it could have broken, and cut our Cypress bill by more than 70%.

Ten years so far, first as an Automation Engineer and later leading automation teams, at Fortune 500s, startups, and banks in a few different countries. Wherever I have been, the work comes down to the same things: building the test framework, helping the QA team find its footing, and making release day calmer for everyone involved.

Music is on for most of my day, usually house, jazz, or R&B, though I'll give just about anything a listen. I got curious about it and built a little streamer that shows whatever I'm playing right now, or the last song I had on.
